I asked about creating members only pages one time awhile back and thought you might have been considering it. I’m wondering now if you have come up with something, because it’s awkward now. I have to password protect pages we have created for members who have directory listings, who are “subscribers.”

    Any solutions?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello again and thank you.

I appreciate your prompt reply. Thinking about it, I wonder if it might work if you could just create one page with one of your codes in it that could be a doorway to member resources. Would this be possible?

Then, we could list the member resources on that page, even if there are a larger number of pages.

    Thanks again,
    Jane

    Hello Jane,

Would you mind elaborating a little more? Which page are you willing to restrict for the members only and what are the conditions? As of now, you can use the following shortcode to restrict the “All listings” page for logged in users only.

    [directorist_all_listing logged_in_user_only="yes"]

    Hi Rafiz,

    Thanks for your response.

The page we want to restrict for members only is https://exploreiahp.org/member-benefits/. It’s password protected now, but that’s a hassle, because members can’t remember the password.

If you could create something for a “member-benefits” page that would be for logged in users only, that would work, and I would be most grateful.

    Thanks again,
    Jane

    Hello,

I can’t access the member benefits page, therefore, I am not sure what that page is all about. Is it the pricing plan page? We can only help you with pages related to Directorist. Please let me know what that page is all about, I will request the devs to consider it for the next updates.

Please note, we are unable to help if that page is not related to Directorist.

    Hi Rafiz,

The member benefits page provides information for list holders/members to get the most from their membership. There are links on the benefits page to ebooks, etc.

This page is definitely related to Directorist, because it contains information that benefits listholders. I don’t think we could add another plugin to give members access to these benefits, because there would almost certainly be conflicts with Directorist. This means we’re stuck.

What we really need is a way for wordpress users who are categorized as subscribers to have access to pages that are identified as private in wordpress. That would eliminate the general public from having access to the member benefits.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Best wishes,
    Jane

Thank you very much for getting back to us.

I meant if it has any relevance to our plugin functionalities. There are certain pages in the plugin for example locations, categories, author profiles, etc. We may add the “logged in users only” feature to those pages only. A page with benefits as you are referring to is a custom need. Due to the heavy workload, we are unable to create a random page and add the functionality that you are making reference to.

There are plugins like “content control” you can try, I know you are already using a plugin but at the moment, it is the only solution.

Sorry for not being able to help you with what you are looking for.

    Regards,
