Members restrictions not working with custom posts

    Trying this channel for support as I am not getting any luck elsewhere.

    We have credited custom posts using PODs and we are unable to get the member role restrictions to work on the posts.

    Members plugin works fine on normal posts and pages etc, but for some reason, anyone has access to the custom post regardless of which members role is selected.

    Any ideas on how to resolve this please?

    Let me retype that last message as it appears we cannot control our own posts once they are published! Genius.
