members search broken vers 2.0.21

  • Hi there,

    After updating to the latest version 2.0.21 the members search function appears to be broken. I have 6 search fields based on user meta. Search is returning ALL members irrespective of filtering on the search fields.
    Fields are:
    role, gender, location, first_name, last_name, services_offered.
    I reverted to 2.0.17 and all is well.
    Apart from that this is a very impressive plugin

    Hi @jerrystewart99,

    We can’t replicate this issue on our test site.
    Can you please try to do a quick conflict test so we can rule out conflicts with other plugins or your theme and see if this issue goes away.
    Please also try to create a new test members directory and check if the search works on the new directory.

    I tried disabling all plugins except UM
    I tried creating a new Members Directory from scratch.

    Same result: 2.0.17 works, 2.0.21 doesn’t

    Some search criteria work properly:
    ‘role’ (multiselect) returns the right result
    ‘name’ (text) returns the right result
    ‘services’ & ‘location’ (multiselect) are incorrect
    ‘gender’ (radio) is incorrect.

    Same problem here. In one example, a specific search (e.g., German) on the field “Languages” returns every member who has specified ANY language, and only filters out those members who have left their language profile blank.

    Hello all,

    I have a similar problem that the members search function does not work on all fields after updating from 2.0.17 to 2.0.21.
    On this (german) page https://hvs.ch/therapeutenliste/ users can search for a ‘Schwerpunkt’. In the profile form this field is defined as a checkbox holding the 2 edit choices ‘Humanhom?opathie’
    and ‘Tierhom?opathie’.
    Running a search over one of these values returns always all records.
    With version 2.0.17 everything was working perfectly.
