member/listing creation with out creating users

  • I have a small association website which people will want to be listed on. I will have a simple join page which will route through paypal for payment handling. Many plugins do this.

    However once a user creates a listing I do not want them to have a login for the site. I am working on a solid list of required fields for the form so that I get the appropriate info from each one.

    Boiled down I want people to pay to have a listing. this listing won’t give them a user. Additionally I want these listings to have categories and sub-categories. so it would be great if I could somehow do this without a member plugin and I could create a custom post type for listings…

    Anyone know of a plugin or a way to handle this.

    Sounds like you might want one of the classifieds plugins, some of which have the option to pay for a listing. I’ve been happy with Another WordPress Classifieds Plugin (AWPCP)
