    We have the need to create an online version of our membership directory for our church. I want to use the family option but I do not see the copy feature any longer so that will make part difficult.

    I want to create the directory and only allow vetted members access to the directory, meaning they will have to create an account on the website and I will approve their account and place it in a member user role not the default subscriber.

    So I want the directory to only be viewable by the member role, then I want to give them the ability to edit their own profiles.

    Is this possible do I need to purchase any additional extensions to make it possible?

    Apologies for the delay in my reply!!!

    The was a bug found in the copy features that could cause data loss on the entry being copied so the feature has been temporarily disabled. Right not the bets option is to use the CSV Import addon to bulk import all the individuals and then created the families within the Connections admin.

    To allow you members to maintain their own entries, you’ll need the Link addon. One important detail. Individual WP Users are link to Individual Connections entries. It is a one to one relationship. Where this may matter for you is a WP User will not be able to edit a Family entry.

    In regards to user role, this can be configured on the Connections Roles admin page.

    This is for a church so very little money. What is the cost for all of the plugins i would need for this to work like you describe? I am ok with doing the family ones myself I may not even use them because they look weird on the pages.
