Membership Plug in ? For an offline membership

  • Hello lovely wordpressers.

    I have been using wordpress for a couple of years now, mainly for blog and event management sites. I currently have a client looking to incorporate a membership subscription program into her business, and figure might as well use a membership plug in out there. I have been combing through them and thought I’d offer out a query in case someone knew of an exact one that might fit my needs.

    Basically it’s for a $20 yearly membership program that when people sign up they receive a package of goodies in the mail, an email with a discount code for her online classes, and to choose a time for a 15 minute phone consultation. There is not necessarily any ‘membership’ needs for limiting wordpress pages.

    I am essentially looking for something that will monitor when people sign up, and to auto-email for renewal after 1 year. I would love to incorporate a booking calendar, but from what I can tell those plugins cost a few bucks!

  • Nashproductions, you can try out Paid Memberships Pro, which is available for free in the repository:

    You can setup annual recurring memberships using PayPal or Authorize.net. You can set it up to expire after one year (instead of recurring) and it will email RE extending.

    Not sure about a booking calendar solution. But if you find one, PMPro is flexible enough to integrate the two with a bit of customization. We can help out if you get support at https://www.paidmembershipspro.com

    Hey,

    I am hoping to use the PMPro- but wondering if you can set so people receive membership specific emails when they sign up? I am going through the set up now and I don’t see that feature. I need to send them an email once they have paid they gives them a discount code and some other information.
