Membership Renewal & Emails

Is there supposed to be a renewal email for a customer? I did not see one in the plugins email folder so I wasn’t sure. It looks like https://gist.github.com/strangerstudios/d68d830d394b03d68ee9335a2085794b will add one, so I wanted to know if that is what we should use to add an email for renewal. Is there a sample checkout_renewal.html template anywhere?

Also, I’m using Stripe. Do I need to setup the Stripe webhook in order for renewals to work on the PMP side? I have placed a few test orders but just now setup my webhook so will future a renewal say tomorrow work ok or will I have to setup new orders to test that now that my webhook is in place?
