I have a membership site set up using ProfilePress plugin. I wanted the Prevent Direct Access plugin to allow logged-in members to upload images to the Media Library but not be able to edit or delete another member’s images in the Media Library. However, now when a member logs in, all pages on the site are 404 not found! This is not the case when the pages are viewed by a non-logged-in viewer or when the site is logged into by an admin.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @justmigrating ,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We have tested our plugin along with the ProfilePress plugin on our staging site, and they are working properly.

Are you using the PDA Gold or PDA Free version?

If you are using the PDA Gold version, please contact us via our Contact Form, as we aren’t allowed to support the PDA Gold version here.

    Awaiting your reply.

Hi, thank you for responding. I’m using PDA free version in order to test it out. You can see the issue by going to https://www.jdaviswebdesign.com/spatial/member-login. Once the member logs in (there are guest login credentials on the page), the menu disappears and all pages are 404. Normally, when a member logs in, the site redirects to the Members Only page. This works if an admin logs in or I deactivate your plugin.

    Hi @justmigrating ,

    Thank you for the information.

If you’re using PDA Free, you’re only able to set file permission (3) for:

    • Admin users (default)
    • The file’s author

That’s why it works when an admin or the file’s author logs in. To use our plugin with ProfilePress, you will need our PDA Gold plugin, which allows you to set file permissions for “Logged-in users.”

    Awaiting your reply.
