    Hi,

    Sorry if this exists somewhere; I’ve not been able to find it.

    Question: How does RCP define the different membership statuses and how does a membership status determine content access? For instance:
    – Does a member with pending status have access to restricted content?
    – If a member’s payment renewal fails, what status are they assigned by RCP?
    – Will they still have access while payment attempt is being retried?

    Hi Ryan!

    “Active” status will be required to view content restricted to that membership level.

    When a renewal fails, the membership switches to “Expired”.

    They will not have access until a successful payment is made.

    Hi James,

    Sorry, a bit of additional clarification needed: when does RCP consider a payment as “failed”? Immediately a payment attempt fails or after the automatic retries by Stripe eventually fail? I’m finding in my test environment that when payment fails in Stripe, the member’s status does not automatically switch to “expired”. So I’m wondering if that switch only happens after Stripe has exhausted all retry attempts.

    Please clarify?
