I have an annual membership option, and I just found that for the last few months, none of the expiration dates are ending the membership. I am not even sure how far back it goes at this point, but I’ve worked back to January of 2022, and every expired membership has an expiration date that has passed, yet they still have a full membership?

Is there a bug or some issue with the memberships not canceling on the expiration date? I have no idea how long this has been going on or how far back. Please help me resolve this so that I don’t have the issue going forward.

    Hello @mack99,

I’m sorry this is not working as it should for you. Members are expired when a “cron” runs looking for expired memberships. This scheduled event should run hourly by default.

Can you install WP Crontrol to see if the pmpro_cron_expire_memberships cron is active?`
We have found a system failure that can stop this from running.
If it has been deleted you can add it back by deactivating PMPro, then activating it again. You can then use WP cron to run it manually if needed.

For more information and information on how to fix this issue please see this post:

Please let me know if this information help you fix this issue.

OK, the cron was not running. I found that a plugin was stopping the cron jobs. Once I disabled the problem plugin, I was able to run all of the cron jobs. Thanks so much for the quick help and resolution. I had already manually deleted a bunch when I finally figured out this had been ongoing for months and would be a huge undertaking. I quickly fixed it now. Thanks!

Wonderful I’m glad I was able to help find the problem. Just for future reference do you mind sharing what plug-in was causing the problem?

AIOWP Security is the problem. I can’t get the cron jobs to run without deactivating the plugin.
