    Good Day,

As mentioned in an older post or topic, every time we activate Memcached our Site Health Status message (green icon) breaks under the following conditions:

    (1) When we disable then enable Memcached.
    (2) When we click on SGO’s primary link or dashboard link (WP Dashboard > SG Optimizer OR WP Dashboard > SG Optimizer > Dashboard)
    (3) When we click on Purge SG Cache (WP Menu Bar)

Noteworthy: The above happens with Heartbeat Admin enabled or disabled, and when using either WP Cron or a Real Cron.

This is what we should see all the time: https://prnt.sc/e4XhO5l3PnI8
This is what Memcached is causing: https://prnt.sc/rnLfnWLH9XYD

From our recollection, SiteGround has been able to replicate the above, but still hasn’t provided a solution. The filter provided by SiteGround to execute the Site Health Status check after purging SGO’s cache does not work. No other plugin causes this issue, only SGO.

Can you guys kindly provide an update on this? From our perspective, the above occurrence is not normal. A fix is appreciated.

    Hello @generosus,

You had a similar thread several months ago. I followed all of the described steps , checking the health status after each step, but I am now not able to recreate the reported issue in a clean WordPress installation with only SiteGround Optimizer and SiteGround Security plugins installed. This comes to suggest that some of your other plugins or themes are causing this.

Try to temporarily disable all other plugins and revert to a default theme and then test again. Then re-enable the plugins one by one.

If the issue continues to occur, please, post a support ticket through the SiteGrtound User Area, so that we can check the case further.

    Thank you.

    Hello @generosus,

When you enable the Memcached service, all of the transients are stored in the object cache. Our plugin performs a lot of internal checks upon accessing the admin dashboard page and some of these checks might result in a cache purge, which in turn will make WP Site Health to generate new report.

However, you can still take full advantage of the Site Health plugin, and its key functionality remains unaffected, as the plugin is still able to successfully generate the health reports. All you need to do is to wait few seconds for the new report to appear in the plugin’s page.

I have already forwarded this information to our developers. If they decide to address this particular matter in the near future, we will make sure to include it in the plugin’s changelog.

    Update:

For those tracking this topic, and until SG provides a permanent solution, we identified a TEMPORARY solution for Items (1) and (2) above.

    Temporary Solution:

    1. Disable SGO’s Memcached.
    2. Install and activate the plugin, Object Cache 4 everyone.

Notes Concerning Object Cache 4 everyone:

    1. It auto-detects SG’s servers and provides Memcached functionality.
    2. Is compatible with WP 6.1 and PHP 8.1.12 (latest versions as of today).
    3. Once activated, WP dashboard loads faster.
    4. Not promoting the plugin, simply stating is provides a clean, temporary solution.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers!
