    Hi,

I really like the plugin because you can tune a lot of things to improve the usability which other optimizers lack. (Esp. FCP and LCP optimizations).

But on a clients’ site the memory usage gets multiplied by 10 if I turn on Hummingbird. I go from like 45MB to 450MB for each page request. Upgrading the memory_limit helps but quite regularly the infamous “memory exhausted” fatal error occurs. And I think 500MB for a memory_limit is not efficient and maybe can cause stability problems.

Are there any known plugin/theme conflicts which are causing this?

    Thanks!

    Thank you for contacting us.

Sorry to hear you are having this trouble. It may be possible the usage is being caused by another plugin or theme. In order to check this for you, could you please provide us with the URL of your site so that we can verify this further.

    Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for your quick response.
Yes, I think that could be the cause.

    The site address is: https://www.uniquematch.nl

For your convenience I double-checked the problem again and the the memory usage reported by the plugin ‘UsageDD’ increases from 45MB to 490MB for, by example, the frontpage. If I use the special link “?avoid-minify=true” the memory goes back to 45MB again.

The theme used is Workio by ApusWP (using the Apus framework).

    The active plugins are:

    Hi @m440

Thank you for the plugin list.

It is hard to point which plugin could conflict only looking at the plugin list so we need to run some tests.

    Can you check this?

    – Please, verify if the Hummingbird > Caching preload is enabled, if so, disable it to confirm it isn’t causing the problem.

    – Check if your PHP is 7.4, you can find the WordPress > Tools > Site Health for any missing PHP Module or recommendation.

    – If both above are ok, try to reset the plugin to factory data on Hummingbird > Settings > Data, it can help in some cases too.

In case the problem persists, please, take a full backup or create a staging website and run a plugin conflict test following this test flow:

Let us know the result you got.
