memory exhausted

    I received the following error message when trying to edit my website. I tried replying to comments and got the same message

    “Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 3072 bytes) in /home/adetutuijose/public_html/wp-admin/includes/deprecated.php on line 1002”

    What do I do. I need to do some updates as well as reply to the various comment seeking permission to use my content asap. I also noticed that some of my content has been deleted probably due to inadequate resources. Please Help

    adetutuijose changing the limit in your wp-config is one step but you will probably find that you need to up your memory limit with your hosting provider. That was the solution I came to with one of my client’s sites years ago.

    1. First try to eliminate the plugin or source of your memory limitations.
    2. Then try to edit the wp-config file.
    3. Then if the memory is being exceeded from traffic etc. then up your limit at the provider, because it costs more money sometimes.
