• I’ve been using Advertising Manager for more than 4 years. Lately my blog has been using more and more memory and I had to ask my hoster to increase it, but now even 192 MB, the highest possible for my hosting plan, doesn’t seem to be enough. While changing the blog theme and disabling other plugins has no effect, disabling Advertising Manager fixes the problem.

Note that my blog has almost 1,600 articles and more than 200 ads. I tried to delete about 20 old ads I don’t use anymore to check if that changed anything but with no results. Does Advertising Manager use a lot of memory and and increasing amount in time?

BTW, trying a bulk delete of some ads I get a white screen of death. Luckily everythink still works so I can manually go back to any page within the control panel but apparently only one of the selected ads actually gets deleted.

NetMassimo: In v3.5.3 there has been a change to the way that the data is stored. It should help you somewhat with your situation. It is not perfect, but I would be interested to know how it works after this version. Thanks!

Alas, it’s still using too much memory!

We will look to move to our own tables, rather than using WordPress options table. This will sort out our issue. However, this cannot be done in the short term.
