Hello, @baldhie

Memphis is using default WordPress posts categories and causing issues because of that: related news, selected by category, are calling for Memphis posts and it shouldn’t.

We have checked the issue with the theme developer and the answer was:

I checked your site and as I can see everything works right, your “Memphis” posts use WordPress categories, the same as WordPress posts. Contact the authors of the plugin and ask them to change their taxonomy to exclude their posts from WordPress categories.

Can you please fix it?

This request is related with my post a few months ago: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/mdocs-own-categories/

Meanwhile, the theme developer was very helpful and kindly implemented a workaround for this particular situation that was messing with the website presentation (https://monosnap.com/file/c27F3ZU9DRbKMFjuFdD18Lh9LT01Ma).

Anyway, the issue remains and is still negatively impacting the user experience, as in https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/mdocs-own-categories/.

Looking forward to the fix.

~~this issue is a conflict with another plugin, you will need to disable all plugins then enable them one at a time until the problem returns.~~

@bhaldie, I’m not understanding what you are calling conflict… Aren’t you using the default WordPress categories for mDocs posts?

still have no fix yet, it is a very complicated problem and haven’t figured out a work around yet.
