I’m testing Wise Chat before purchasing the Pro version and have a couple simple questions before I buy.

    1. The sound set for @mentions is being played for the user whenever that user sends a message. There appears to be no options for setting a sound that plays when sending a message to the chat. Or for disabling any message from playing when sending a message.

It makes sense that the @mention sound should be different and more noticeable than any sound that plays when the user types and sends a message. So…is there any way to set or disable the sound playing when that user sends a message to the chat?

For example: We have Wise Chat set to play a noticeable alert for @mention, and a quieter blip when other messages are posted/received in the chat. But when the user sends a message to the chat, that user hears that louder @mention alert sound. Other users in the chat hear the blip. When I’m chatting with multiple others in the chat, I don’t want to keep hearing that @mention alert, I would expect to hear a quieter click, blip, or nothing.

    2. Do any Pro users have feedback regarding support response time? And how/where is that support managed?

    Hello @agreda

Please go to Wise Chat Settings page and Messages Posting tab. You can set there both mentioning and messages sounds.

For any questions regarding Wise Chat Pro please contact us directly on https://kaine.pl It will much faster. This forum is mainly for free Wise Chat.

    Thanks @marcinlawrowski

My question is about the free version (for now.):

The sound set for @mentions is being played for the user whenever that user sends a message. There appears to be no options for setting a sound that plays when sending a message to the chat. Or for disabling any message from playing when sending a message.

    Example:

    1. User1 and User2 are in chat.
    2. User1 posts to chat and hears “Mentioning Sound Notification” every time.
    3. User2 hears “Message Sound Notification” when message from User1 is posted, as is expected.

So…why would User1 here the Mentioning Sound when posting a message? It would make more sense for them to hear the Message Sound. Better yet, the ability to set a sound for “Message Sent Notification would be ideal.

    Ideal Scenario:

    1. When sending messages user hears Sound X , a quiet simple sound (Not @Mention Sound), or no sound at all if turned off in settings.
    2. When seeing All Messages, user hears Sound Y, a different simple sound.
    3. When user mentions another user, they still hear Sound X.
    4. When user is mentioned in chat message they hear Sound Y, a distinct more noticeable sound – bringing greater attention to the message.

Is this more clear now? Might the first example be fixed in the next update? Any chance the feature request in second scenario can be considered for future update?

    THANK YOU!
