    Hey again,
Promise this will be last time!!
So setting up menus and what I would really love to be able to do is have under shop drop down to menus next to each other in two columns: One which is titled (and not clickable) ‘shop by item’ and the other ‘shop by collection’ and then the clickable sub items under each.
    so something like below:

    SHOP
Shop by item Shop by collection
    Necklace Hare
    Earrings Fox
    Rings Bear
    Brambles

Is this possible with free Woo?
I have looked at woo support documents – I can only see mega menus which you have to buy I think. Any direction to resources to read or help would be great.
    Thank you again.

  • Yes, assign product categories to your products, then go to Appearance > Menus, There’s a panel, usually on the left, where you can pick menu items. Look for the “Product Categories” section. Not “Categories” which refers to post categories. If you don’t see it, ensure it is enabled on screen options. Add the required categories to your menu, then reorder your menu to suit.

    Oh Lorro thanks again…
But I see when I pressed submit the post reformatted what I wanted… Let me see if I can try another way to show you.
So I wanted two menus under shop, one which said:
Shop by item as the title
    Earrings
    Rings
    Necklace

Then next to the above the title:
    Shop by collection
    Bear
    hare
    fox
    bird

So people can search for type or animal pieces – just nice to have that choice to see one collection all together. Any way to do this on Woo for free?
Fingers crossed when I press submit this time it’ll stay looking the same…
    Thank you, as ever,
    Elby x

    Hey Lorro,
Any further ideas or unable to help?
    Please do let me know…

I would like the menu dropdown subtitles (by item, by collection) side by side under shop.
    Hoping this makes sense.
    Kindest, as ever,
    Elby

    Hi there again,
I have tried asking in another thread as I thought it might have been a wordpress issue instead of woo but I have been told to come back to my original thread so I am… (I wasn’t sure whether its allowed to keep asking so apologies if it is considered rude – I won’t ask again if I don’t get a reply to this).
So I would love two drop down menus that came down side by side under Shop, one which said:

Shop by item (as the title and is not clickable)
    Earrings
    Rings
    Necklace

Then right next to shop by item the below:
    Shop by collection
    Bear
    hare
    fox
    bird

So people can search for type or animal pieces – just nice to have that choice

Any ideas? Is Virtue theme maybe unable to do this….?
    Thanks ever so much.

This seems to be a core WordPress menu feature that you are looking for.

Go to Appearance > Menu, and add all the above menu items to your menu. Then, each menu item can be dragged-and-dropped both up and down and side to side. When a menu item is offset to the right from the menu item above, it will appear as a sub-menu of that item. Rearrange menu items to suit your requirements.

    @elbybrown,

Here is also a page to help with that:
