The wierdest thing happened. Now Tiny Forge does not display a menu or display any text on the pages. And I cannot edit a page with text (entry not allowed). For a test I activated TwentyTen, and everything shows again.

This does not make any sense. My client said all she did was adding an image to a gallery and hit something like “search image” before this happened.

    Any idea?

I did confirm no text or menu with safari 5.1 on windows, it is not just your machine.
I would recommend asking a friend with an apple computer to visit your site with safari and report what they see.
My prediction is the site will view fine because they have an updated browser.

Oh thanks! Have you tried Tomas’ site as well (https://mtomas.com/).

If the situation is the same, then this is a good confirmation. Think we need to look at another “resposive” site. My suspicion is browsers need to do something to accommodate this new wave of “responsive” webs.

Re Safari on Mac and iPhone. They are OK – already tested by Tomas and a friend of mine. It’s just the version for Windows that Apple does not want to update. Generally there is no problem at all, just that I happen to be using Tiny Forge, which IMO is the best looking of the basic WP themes

Revising my initial assumption that Safari for Windows does not respond to “responsive” themes. I have since tested a few responsive themes and they are displaying correctly. The mystery continues…!
