  • Hello @mgz069,

    Thank you for reaching out,

I fully tested this issue. I can see that the changes won’t show at first, but when I clear all level caches, then I can see them also. I saw no issue in the guest browser, so kindly check all your changes in the guest browser, where the cache is disabled by default, and keep us posted on the results.

However, I would send this topic to the dev team for further improvements, and we’ll get back to you with the information once it is available.

    I hope it helps.

I tried from guest browser too.

It still shows the square cart

Also the cart icon don’t even appear in the customizer:

btw, i am using the oceanwp shortcode for this application

    Hello @mgz069,

    Thank you for reaching out,

Regarding the icon in the customizer environment, it seems it’s a plugin conflict. For troubleshooting, please do the following steps and let us know the results:

    0. Enable the primary theme(if you are using a child theme).
    1. Head over to WP Dashboard > Plugins.
    2. Deactivate all plugins.
    3. Then, first, activate Ocean Extra plugin.
    4. Check your issue.
    5. Then, activate your plugins one by one
    6. After activation of any plugins, check your issue

Note 1: After changing the icon or style related to the cart, please add/remove a product so the Woo fragments refresh and you can see the changes.

Note 2: the shortcode you are using, is styled like the bag style, so changing the icon in the menu cart doesn’t affect it, you must use available attributes on it to change its styling. For more information about this shortcode, please follow this link: https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/502-oceanwpwoocart-shortcode.

    I hope it helps.

I tried all of these. None of them works

Only when I switch to “Minimal” or other head style.

But at the moment I am using a Custom Header made in Elementor

    Hello @mgz069,

    Thank you for reaching out,

This is entirely expected and normal.
When you choose a customized header, it’s expected that the settings are also customized; otherwise, you can use predefined headers, in which case the customizer settings will work with the predefined headers.

Based on the explanations you provided, with the way you’re creating the header, you should customize the header further. While some settings like menus might work with the customizer settings since you’re using the provided shortcode, others, like the cart shortcode, might not work. Instead, its settings are managed with attributes, but it’s still limited: https://postimg.cc/FffZY3mb. Moreover, this issue is not related to the new version of the customizer; it has been the same in previous versions as well.

Unless you use a plugin that, for example, provides a mini cart; in this case, you would find the settings within that plugin.

    I hope it helps.

    Yes it’s very limited

So there’s no way to customize the car icon if using a shortcode, you can only use it in the default headers

That would be a great addition to override oceanwp cart shortcode’s style with the ones that are currently set in the customizer

    Hello @mgz069,

    Thank you for reaching out,

Since the shortcode itself is a simple custom code, you can style it using custom CSS. Alternatively, if you’d prefer, you can use a third-party plugin for this purpose. You can search for relevant plugins on wp.org/plugins that could offer additional styling or customization options for their mini/menu cart.

    I hope it helps.

    Thank you

Suggestion: You could make the Cart icon settings in the customizer to apply to oceanwp shortcode aswell!

    That would be great

    Hi @mgz069,

    Thank you for reaching out,

We will forward this to the development team for review and, if possible, include it in the next updates. Thank you for your suggestion.

    Best Regards
