edit style.css of your theme;

use a tool such as Firebug https://getfirebug.com/ or similar to find out which css selectors are responsible for the individual page tabs;

Hmmm . . . seems I was not clear . . . or I’m just misunderstanding (not unusual, unfortunately!)

I’ve already got the background images in and know where and how to change the menu text links, but rather than having it the same, universally, throughout the website, I’d like it to be one way on one page and another on a different page.

Hopefully, that makes sense?! : )
