    What you’re describing is commonly referred to as the “Mega Menus” style. There may very well be some mega menu plugins in the WordPress repository, you can search via this page: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins

    On the other hand, I know of several commercial (paid) plugins that do a good job with this type of menu. If you want to go that route, the WordPress section on codecanyon.net is a good place to start.
