• I have a wide monitor so I keep two browsers open, side-by-side. So web pages are a little narrower than usual.
For some reason when the web page is square or narrower, the menus disappear.

On a desktop. On my phone it seems to be working.

I use Virtue theme and I see this on Chrome, Edge and Firefox (Windows 10 desktop computer).

    Any ideas?

    Hi Shaun,

    Thanks for posting a link.

It appears to be this block of custom CSS that is hiding the div that the menu sits within on smaller screens – can you try removing it?

Thanks. The trouble with coding my own website is that I put stuff into the CSS because it solved some sort of problem at the time but I don’t remember why I did it. So I don’t know the effects of removing it since I don’t know what that code does. Probably in a couple of months I’ll figure out why I put it there…

I took out those three blocks (if that’s the right word) from the code and it seems to have fixed the problem on my computer. On my Android phone using Chrome or Firefox, pressing ‘menu’ brings up another menu button that has to be pressed to get the menu to open, but that’s better than no menu at all.

Ah, I think I had mobile menu checked in two places so that’s why it required pressing it twice on my phone. I unchecked it in one place and now that’s working too.

    Thanks again!

    Hi Shaun,

No worries, glad to hear you got to the bottom of it!
