• I have multiple sites running version 3.8.1 and I’m trying to modify the main navigation menu.

However, when I get to the menu editor page, the “arrow” that is supposed to be to the right of the page isn’t present. As a result, I’m unable to modify the link attributes, remove the link altogether, or make any changes to them.

This problem is occurring on at least 2 sites of mine that are running the 3.8.1.

    Please help.

  • What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

I’m using the Pindol Theme. Got it from ThemeForest, I believe.

The same “error” occurs when I activate a Twenty13 or Twenty12 them, too- I’m not able to edit the menu items.

It appears as if there’s some sort of “line break” in the code that is causing it not to format properly or for the “clickable” page text (that releases the drop-down for editing) to be seen.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

-I have no plugins active other than wordpress importer. Deactivated it and that wasn’t the problem.

-Switched to the default theme of “Twenty Fourteen” and the problem still persisted.

-I haven’t reset the plugins folder b/c I didn’t really download any plugins.

-AS soon as I get home, I’ll try to install a fresh version of WP 3.8.1.

-All of my sites running 3.8.1. are having this issues. My sites running 3.7 and below are fine.
