Menu Font is always in Black

    Hey All

    I’m trying to use the plug-in for for my site but no matter what I try I can’t change the colour of the menu font, it remains black.

    I’ve changed all the Font Colour options I can find in the menus to white but it remains stubbornly black.

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.

    Hi @madjazz ,

    That could be caused by a cache plugin. If you are using some kind of cache mechanism purge the cache and test again.

    Also if possible let me know the site URL.

    Hi Rui

    Thanks for getting back to me.

    I’ve tried clearing the cache several times, unless there is something I don’t know about happening (I’m not very technical) – I used the “Purge Cache” at the top of the WordPress Dashboard.

    I’ve just about given up and made the background lighter so you can read the text LOL

    you some custom CSS that is causing it. Maybe you added it in some theme options or in Appearance-> Customize -> Additional CSS

    
a {text-decoration:none!important;color:#000000!important;}
a:hover, a:visited {color:#000000!important} /* when hovering */

    When using the !importan in a generic rule like that one no other rule can change it. Try to remove the !important and test again changing the colors.

    Ha! – YES! – That was the problem!

    And thanks for the explanation, I didn’t know that !important would do that, I was using it as a default setting so I’ve learnt something new as well.
