Menu isn't viewing correctly

Hi,
I’m using 2012 atm and while in wp everything views fine. However I looked at the page with ie and firefox while outside of wp and my side menu is at the bottom of the page. Why does it not load to the side of the post and at the top? Also when one visits the site I only want the the last post shown along with the menu to the side. Regardless if I set the theme to view static or last post, it shows all my posts in a row.

What am I doing wrong?
