Hi there. I love your theme… however, if I click on certain page links in the top navigation, the submenu dropdown items subsequently switch to two line links where previously they were on one line. Do you know why this is? Thanks

  • Hi @henbane,

    Thank you for using Raft.

I’m not sure I am trying to replicate the problem correctly. Can you share the URL of your website, please, so we can take a look there?

    Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. It’s on the site owner’s test server so I can’t share unfortunately.

Basically I have top menu items:

page one | page two | page three \/

All looks good on page one when you roll over the sub links for page three.

The page three sub link 1 | The page three sub link 2

But once you’ve visited page two, the drop down menu behaves strangely:

    The page
    three sub link 1

    The page
    three sub link 2

Just to follow up on this as I’ve narrowed down the issue…

It occurs only when I add a submenu and overlay background colour.

    Thanks

    Hi @henbane ,

    Thanks for providing more details!

I tried to replicate this behaviour with the configuration you provided, but the submenus don’t split in multiple lines for me even if I add a submenu & overlay background color. Could you please check that this is not coming from a plugin conflict by making a backup of your site and then disabling all the plugins? If this doesn’t help, could you please switch to a default theme like Twenty Twenty Three and check if the issue persists?

    Thank you!

Thanks for the reply… I have a custom Font Plugin installed so it is likely to be that!

I really appreciate you taking the time. Unfortunately the custom font is necessary so I’ve just left the submenus white!

    Hi @henbane!

If you’d like to share the name of the plugin you’re using, we could try to replicate the issue on our end to see if it conflicts with the theme.

    Thank you!

Sorry for the delay I missed the last post! The plugin causing the conflict seemed to be Fonts Plugin by Fonts Plugin… all system fonts were set to Futura.

    Thanks

    Hi @henbane!

We’re glad to hear you found the root cause of the issue in the meantime. Thanks for letting us know!
