Menu item loads very very slow

    Hello! Is there a way to limit the menu items showing per page, something like 25 or so, as when you have around 150 menu items there is a sluggish response like taking a minute to show? I can donate for this as this will help me and others I guess, with my/our workflow. The reason I have so many menu items is that every menu item is for one user only, so more users need more menu items and these load all at once making the page load very very slow.

    Thank you for writing in.

    We received your email with the same issue. User Menus can’t divide the menu items in the WordPress backend – Menus.

    It is built to control how the menu items show on the frontend navigation menu.

    @freesong – Ill add to the previous response and point out this is a long time, known limitation of the WordPress nav menu editor. What your actually asking for is a single plugin to replace the entire editor, without breaking any other plugin or theme that has also attempted to customize it in various ways.

    Ultimately even if we did build it, this plugin isn’t the right home for that type of functionality.
