• Am running WordPress 3.0-RC1.

I’d like to have a parent menu item not associated with a page, but children of that item which ARE. Like so:

    Events
    – Fundraiser
    – Social

..where there is no “Events” page.

Is there a way to do this?

  • Bill,

I was trying to do the same thing and just ran across your post. Here’s the simple solution I discovered:

On the Menu page of your WordPress 3.0 Dashboard, create a custom link with the URL “#”. Don’t use https:// or anything else in the box, just the hash sign. Label the Menu Item, add it to the menu and then add whatever submenus you want under this menu item.

    Hope this helps.
