• Hi,

I make use of the plugin, for quite some while, but during a meeting a guy pointed me out some menu items and the underlaying menuitems are not visible, i was a but upset because imh it always worked fine.

Well it works fine if the menu items are pages, when the main bar is a catagory and other subitems are underneath it is not shown at all.

Could you dig in to this item? I am willing to help and test or give more details.

Also the menu structure on the mobile theme is disturbed.. i am quite curious how to fix this

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

I checked your website using my mobile device and a desktop, and I see that the menu items on the category pages are working fine. I also tested this on our staging site but wasn’t able to replicate it.

So, I think this has something to do with the caching on the guy’s side that pointed out the problem. For this case, I would recommend to always clear the browser cache. Also, If you have a server-side caching level, you can disable it and see if that helps.

    Best regards,
    Steve

Hi Steve, thanks for pointing out the caching, and great you looked into this.

If i look at the site and compare lets say Weer (Weer is a category) with menu items underneath. You will notice on the Weer at the mobile theme (i use duckduck browser on my phone) There is an item Weer (is an old page seems cached indeed and removed) but the subitems are not there at all. I removed the page Weer and left the categorie weer as it is. The desktop version of the website shows main menu Weer (category) and then the subitems

Similar for the menu item Radioamateur, this is the main entrance and underneath the submenus are projected.

If you look at the mobile theme, some of the menu items are there but some are also missing. It seems to me when a menu is build up from a category, and the pages are in the menu under the main categrory menu item, de mobile theme is not aware of this. I don;’t know if it is a bug, expected behaviour, or an issue with the combinaton of themes. All themes are up to date. Main theme is NewStone.

I have no clue what could cause this, but it seems when the Menu structure is based on a page, and not a category, it works correct. Example Scandinavie. What is presented in the mobile theme, is in fact the name of the main page and the page underneath. In this example, the name Menu item Scandinavie is an Category, but the pages underneath are part of the Category Scandinavie, and shown seperately

Maybe all pages should be part of the category, i wil check this to. Seems ok, another observation is when an menu item is added that contains an url, this item is also not shown in the menu.

    1, 2, 3, and 4 are missing in the mobile menu structure…

I am really puzzeled here and would support you where i can.

PS i added screenshots but i don’t see them in the text?

    Have a great Christmas

    Eelco
