Menu Items Going Blank

  • Hi team

    I keep having to rebuild my WP menu and I’m not sure if it’s related to WP Core or the Zakra theme. I set the menu by adding regular pages and some custom links, and then 10-15 minutes later, the menu vanishes. Almost like some regular job is removing it.

    This is what the menu then looks like frontend (https://i.imgur.com/xqFF5Vc.png) and backend (https://i.imgur.com/0OHg4Mg.png).

    Any ideas? I’ve tried a reinstall of the WP version and clearing the site and browser cache (as a last resort). I’m wondering if there’s an issue in the DB? Maybe I need to clear the cells relating to the menu?

    Unrelated – potentially – I’m also seeing http2_protocol_errors being thrown at me.

    For now, I’ve removed the custom menus and left with the WP default as this seems to stay up

    We are unable to replicate the issue you have reported on our side so could you please provide us with a specific screen record of the issue you are facing so I can inspect it and provide you an appropriate solution.

    Also, the issue might be raised due to the third-party plugin, so could you please verify the issue by deactivating the plugins one by one?

    Hi team

    I’m not exactly sure what to record as it doesn’t always happen instantly.

    1. Create menu
    2. Browse site
    3. Suddenly on page load, some of the menu items are missing
    4. Check menu settings and some items are ‘blank’ titles
    5. Re-create menu and go back to 2

    I can try get a video but could be a few minutes between creating the video and this occurring. Seems to be to do with custom links.
