    Hi
I hope someone can help me out!
I have an existing shop with a drop down menu.
I am trying to add a new section under this menu and have added it into the Menu, under appearance. It shows up in the menu; however, when I click on it to go to the section, it can’t find it and says it’s not there.
What have I forgotten to do?

I have added attributes and categories already. I really don’t know what I’m missing!

    Cheers for any help.

  • In Appearance > Menus, look at the bottom of the menu item (in the menu structure) and see if Original: has the correct link in it.

Yep, it matches, it says Special Days

Sorry I was unclear. Hover your cursor over Special Days and see if your browser shows a small popup showing a URL. Some browsers will do this.

Or try clicking on Special Days and see where it takes you. The URL may no longer exist.

I don’t get a popup showing the URL but when I click on Special Days it takes me to the oops can’t find that page.

I’ve tried removing it from the menu and saving and logging out, then starting all over again only to have the same situation.

I had that issue when first using WordPress but was able to fix it. Can’t remember how I did it, but it has to do with your post or page’s permalink.

The “section” you refer to is a page or a post, correct?

The permalink is the URL used by Special Days. In the WP Dashboard, go to where you edit your Special Days page or post and see if there’s something wrong with the permalink.

I just went back and double checked everything, turned things on and off and saved and then turned them all back the way they were and saved and now it works.

I have no idea what just happened.

Wanderer, thank you for your time and patience. I truly appreciate it.

    Cheers

No worries! You may have done something to update the permalink. Glad to help. ??
