    Hello.

First, thank you for the good job done about Blocksy !

When main menu of my website is fully visible (1920×1080 screen or wider), it works correctly : second level of menu opens a second panel of menu on the right of first level to display it. However, on smaller screens (or after zooming in in the browser), main menu becomes not fully visible (with “More” or “Plus” at the end), this is normal, but items of second level of the main menu opens now in down direction instead of right, overlapping items of first level which are consequently no accessible anymore.
The arrow direction is also changed from wide screen (direction right) to small screen (direction down).

Example on my website: hover over menu on “Le club”, then hover over “Licenciés” => its content (like “Compétition”) overlaps “Bureau et commissions”.

In the past I noticed something happening in rare situations difficult to describe so I didn’t post the issue. Today, I noticed this systematic way to reproduce after notification from some users.

I think the problem have been occuring since v2.0.24 yesterday. I wonder if it is a side effect of the mentionned change “Account drop down opens in wrong direction on mobile if placed near the edge”.

The topic is a bit similar to this one I found but this couldn’t help me: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/submenu-arrow-and-overlap/

Thank you in advance for reading and about the help you can bring. If I missed a setting to avoid this situation don’t hesitate to tell me.
    Best regards.

I have same issue after last update

    Hello @thetoon

I see that you have a caching solution enabled on the site. Could you please turn that off so that we could assess the freshest assets of the site?

    Hello @yyusufalp

What is your website’s live URL so that we could check that out?

    Thanks.

    Hello @cteduard

I have just deactivated the caching plugin. So it should be ok now and you can have a look.

    Thank you.

    Hi @thetoon

Hm, that’s actually strange as I see no other potential conflicts on the front end.

Would it be possible to take a snapshot of the site and send it our way, via this plugin – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/. We will be able to analyse it in close detail and see what’s what.

    Thanks.

I will check about all-in-one-wp-migration. Not sure I have rights to share this way. I may try on a separate lighter website for debug.

In parallel, could you please tell me in which css/js (or other file) decision to display second level on the right or at the bottom is taken ?

In parallel also, could you tell me if there is a risk to use wp-rollback plugin to revert back to previous version of Blocksy and companion (and which order the better) ? I know this is not the best way to proceed for debug and one day I would like to be able to update again, but at least for my visitors currently it would be nice.

I used so called “Local” application to create a new website from scratch using minimum elements : latest WordPress + latest Blocksy + companion and nothing more. I added a few empty pages on top of “homi” starter site in order to have a wider main menu.

    Result is the same:

I will export using all-in-one-wp-migration but I think you can also create the same in few minutes.

    Hi @thetoon

Oh, I see now. The “more” menu is actually the culprit. I have managed to reproduce the issue and have informed the developers about it.

Will get back to you as soon as I have something.

    Be in touch.

    Hi @cteduard

Happy to know that the issue is taken into consideration.
Do you have a idea of the scheduling of an update ?

    Hi @thetoon

If everything goes according to the plan, the update will be out by Thursday night, European time.

    Thanks.

    Hi?@cteduard

I updated to the last version and it works fine for nominal cases.
There are some rare cases (as I noticed even before current issue) when the user resizes browser window, leadinbg to the need to refresh the page in order to be as nominal case but this is not a big deal.

Thank you for the update !
