    On my website, at https://billbowersdc.com – when I click a menu link, the font color thinks the page it came from is still the active page, although the current page I linked to is also active.

    I believe this is because the browser thinks we are still on the page that loaded at the time I went to the site.

    For example, if I go to https://billbowersdc.com, and then click the “About” link, I see the main menu links for both “Home” and “About” with the current page font color.

    If I were to then copy the URL from the “About” page, and paste that into a new browser window, and then I go to another page fro the main menu, the same thing happens with the main menu links for these pages.

    In other words, the browser is not picking up the main page properly.

    Do you have any suggestions for how to fix this please?
    Thank you for any help you can offer here.

  • Is not the browser nor this plugins fault. You need to work with your page loading custom script (check this plugin admin page) in order to reload the classes of the body tag (if your theme uses that to load custom styles on every page/category/etc.) or even the inline styles some themes use for custom designs. It depends on the complexity of your theme.

    Yes I think I see what you mean, as I found where I could enter specific URLs for the plugin to ignore – and that seems to work okay.
    Thanks for your assistance.

    In my case, I WAS USING (but not any more – see my reason below) the Advanced AJAX Page Loader..

    See: https://jing.videvent.com/2013-07-22_10-30-22.png

    Goto: Settings->Advanced AJAX Page Loader
    Then, scroll down the page until you see the HREF Ignore List.
    Follow the instructions there.

    The reason I decided against using this plugin was because although it does refresh the Content area, it does not reload the menus or sidebar – and since I have some pages set as full width (with no sidebars), and other pages that use the sidebar, AND I also display certain menu items to logged in users only – so this plugin just doesn’t work for this site.

    It is a great plugin however – except for the limitations described above.

    I hope this helped.
