Menu – link in front page sections

  • Hello,

    after installing theme “Sydney” we customized the so called “front page” with content like Contact, Order, French. We did not create an new Page for Contact, Order, French – so all of our content is on the front page. Now we would like to use the Menu in WP in the upper right (customize over the daschboard) to link directly into the sections of the frontpage. How can we use the WP Menu to link into the sections of our front page?

    bei mir ist das Theme: ?Sydney“ installiert und ich habe die Startseite angelegt. Ich will alle Inhalte wie Bestellung, Kontakt, English etc auf der Startseite plazieren und keine neue Seiten oder Beitr?ge dafür anlegen. Das Menü des Themes oben rechts soll auf die Inhalte Bestellung, Kontakt, English etc linken, die ja alle auf der Startseite liegen. Ist das m?glich? Wie ich über sogannten Anker innerhalb der Startseite von Thema zu Thema navigieren kann hab ich schon gefunden, aber im Menu sollte das auch gehen, oder?

  • Hello there,

    Go to menu editing panel, create a menu, use “Custom Links” type of menu. In the URL field enter yoursite.com/#elementID. In the “Display location” option in “Menu Settings” choose “Primary”.

    For #elementID, you can set the ID name in section’s setting. Go to Advanced tab, and enter the ID name into “CSS ID” option. See this screenshot: https://cloudup.com/cBbFdz-MF5B
