• Good day everybody!

So, I’m just setting up my first hosted website (poorly). I have Newsmag (although I’m sure that isn’t the issue). When I try and insert menus for the header in the WP dashboard, the menu names I’ve chosen don’t show up in the left-hand box under pages.
I’ve been going at this for 24 hours, I’ve read 50 tutorials and 50 videos, but, alas, to no avail.

    I’ve disabled plugins, cleared cache, logged in/out. I have no idea – I’m a noob. I can’t code either!

Any help would be absolutely amazing.

    Thank you.

    Leon.

    Thanks for the reply….

It isn’t on the site. My site is empty. It’s in the dashboard. Appearances > Menu > Create new menu > Save menu…. etc….

    Thanks.

Do the names you are choosing for menu items already exist as Pages? If not, they won’t appear.

    Yi,

Yes, they exist. I’ve saved 5-6 menu names, they just don’t show up in the left-hand pages box before I select their location –
‘Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu
    Top Header Menu
    Header Menu (main)
    Footer Menu’

    Thanks.

Sorry, nothing exists apart from the categories I’ve created. They just don’t show up in the left-side pane.

    Thanks.
