  • Hi,

any other menu plugins or theme with menu extensions can conflict with image menu.

If you added custom field to menu in theme try to use dev version of plugin https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/menu-image.zip and read the manual how to “make friends” plugin with theme.

I don’t have any other menu plugins or a theme with menu extensions. I’ve read the dev documentation, which says to place the folder into the plug in folder. I’ve done that, still nothing. Do I need to call it into play in the functions.php?

Hm, are you trying to add images to your site to main menu (which has 3 links) or to side menu? Your main menu has non-standard markup, so i think you could do some customizations. To find the problem try to enable any default theme and add images to menu, if it works, try to search any same filters in your theme and image-menu plugin, and if you find it, just copy function content from plugin to same function in your theme and merge it somehow =)

I got it! Thanks for your help.

One last question – is it supposed to only work for pages, and not links? I’m trying to use the icons for social media sites, but it doesn’t seem to be an option for . Does this have to do with my (probably) shoddy installation? Or was it never an option?

Actually, it must be something with my installation, because now it’s not an option for new pages, either.

Okay, I figured it out – you (or at least in this case, me) had to add the new menu option, and hit save. AFTER I hit save, I was given the option of adding a picture. Just in case someone else runs into this issue!

Anyway, great plugin, and thanks for your insight!

    One last question

    – images works for every menu item.
I think that really something wrong with your wordpress installation, or maybe with theme.

    Hi there

read the manual how to “make friends” plugin with theme.

My theme has its own menu extension which I would like to try to add menu images to. Were you referring to a specific file when mentioning about this manual? I downloaded the DEV version of the plugin but couldn’t see where the manual would be.

    Thanks

Thanks for the link. However, the plugin seemed to start working on its own. Great plugin by the way!

Oh, it’s cool, think time to release the dev version.
