• I updated to 4.1 for a client and also updated any out of date plugins. Now the menu that should be in multi colored boxes is not appearing on any of the pages. But it is under appearance > menu. The site is windsorcamp.org. Please help! I have tried deactivating plugins to see and still no menu Appears.

  • Hi kscully1,

Could you tell me, which theme you are using?
BTW, the link to the site seems to be wrong, as nothing comes up when I go to windsorcamp.org.

My apologies, the website is https://windsormountain.org.

I was not the original designer, but it looks like it was a custom WP theme. Everything was fine until I updated to 4.1 and updated all plugins.

Can you check under Appearance -> Menus if the menu is in the correct location (by clicking on the Manage Locations tab and make sure it’s in the correct location).
Also did you check whether a plugin was used to create that menu and whether a setting was changed or needs to be adapted as a result of updating plugins?

If that doesn’t work, I suggest you contact the designer of the theme, who I understand from your css file is 829 Studios in Boston (https://www.829llc.com/contact/).

There are 2 menus; one titled Main and one titled Current Families. The Main menu is assigned to “Main” and the Current Families menu is assigned to “Current Families” on the theme location > assigned menu pull down.

It looks like there is a custom Windsor Mountain CMS plugin. I have emailed 829llc.com to see if they can help. Hopefully this is an easy fix on their end, but I was hoping to get it quickly resolved on my own if anyone had advice.

Everything else seems to be running smoothly after updates, so this is strange.
