• Menu not working in mobile, almost a month since issue was reported. I guess a theme building company should understand criticality of this bug.

  • Hello @candidtech,

Sorry to hear that you aren’t happy with the theme.

However, I’d like to mention that there are no severe bugs in the theme and also the Astra Pro addon.

Can you please make sure you have the latest versions of the theme and the addon (if you are using both)? You can take a look at the changelog here.

If you have the latest version and are still facing any issues, please get in touch with us through our support center, so that we can take a closer and help.

The mobile menu doesn’t opens on mobile phones, do you have any idea of criticality of this issue? Any idea how much traffic nowadays comes from desktop vs mobile? This issue has crippled my website since over a month and you are telling me its not important?

Nevermind, you can ignore the issue, I have switched to a better theme!

I agree… this stinks stinks stinks! Updated theme and completely broke my header. ACCIDENTALLY switched to the new “Header Builder” and despite the documentation showing how I could change back to the original, I found no such option. So I’m stuck with a totally mangled header and mobile menu and had to completely rebuild my header. Now the new header loads differently now too and broke my JS that shows or hides a button in the header as well, as it was looking at whether or not there was a particular menu item that applied to authenticated or unauthenticated users. Using setTimeout for 3 seconds is the only option now to wait until the expected items load (which is HORRIBLE for page load speed)… I can’t seem to get a better solution like requestAnimationFrame working either, so I’m screwed. THE WORST.

    Hello @ctmartin2020,

I am Elvina from team Astra and I’d like to help you with this.

First, you can definitely switch to the old Header Footer. You’ll find this option by navigating to WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Astra Options.

Also, the custom JS may not be working because of the change in classes with the new Header Footer Builder. Please feel free to get in touch if you need any further help.

    Found a solution.

Go to main menu area and choose the menu you want to show in the mobile version in the ‘Off Canvas Menu’ location. That can be the same as the desktop one or a different one.

I think by default it shows up everything in a menu until you choose a menu for that specific location. The Off Canvas Menu location is easily missed, but this is the one that appears on the Mobile version (I believe by default).

Thank you @robwalden that workaround helped me a lot.
Unbelievable how this important setting can be so hidden and not-intuitive.

I had a similar problem with a new Astra template website, but in my case the reason was due to the absence of an SSL certificate, not to the template.

(I did not activate SSL because I want to dissuade visitors from the site until it is ready for the public.)

Once I selected “visit non-secure site” etc., on the cell phone, the hamburger menu worked properly.

The confusing part is that the site appeared on the mobile screen but the hamburger menu was non-operational. The option to visit a non-secure site did not automatically appear as it does in Desktop mode. I had to poke around a bit. Once I did give permission to visit this non-secure site, I refreshed the screen, and the hamburger menu worked.

I’m having the same problem. Tried deactivating all plugins, no difference. Tried adding my menu to the off canvas menu position, no difference ??

Same issue. The menu keeps breaking in the mobile version. I checked “Off-Canvas Menu” in the menu section and that seems to have fixed the issue.

    Hi @mpvaccaro, @agrolsy, @billydec,

It would be better and helpful if you guys can create your own topic instead of jumping on here. Or you might consider opening a ticket thru our Support Portal.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

Is this not a bug? I just installed and acivated Astra Pro and spent half an hour trying to figure out why the menu on mobile device would not show my primary menu and instead listed a ludicrous amount of links to every category and more.

I kept revisiting all options I could think were involved and could not fix it. Then I searched Google and fortunately found this – thanks ??

It can’t be by design surely that you have to “Go to main menu area and choose the menu you want to show in the mobile version in the ‘Off Canvas Menu’ location.”

As I have no intention of using an off canvas menu I would never have though to edit that section at all.

    @bsfherman
I visited the related (closed) ticket as well.
Can you please help me with steps to check the OFF CANVAS MENU, I’m facing the same issue for my website JALOGA.COM and still unable to resolve the same.

Hi @chaitanayasethi13, this is actually a review and is not meant to be for discussing a query.
