    Are you talking about the field on the right side of the post editor screen like you see with pages?

    Need to add “page attributes” support. That’s the item that adds that metabox. However, I know it won’t be an exact match to what you see when editing a page, as WP core itself doesn’t offer custom template dropdown support for anything but Pages, as an example. Mileage may vary.
