• Hi again,

I never got an answer about my mobile menu issue that I couldn’t resolve. So I will make another ticket.

My mobile menu is still troublesome. If you click on it nothing happens. But if you go to the bottom of the page, there is a strange-looking menu there.

I also see this problem occurs on desktops now. On desktop, the menu works as usual, but there is still another one at the bottom of the page that looks really bad. Please take a look at my site on both mobile and desktop. I have no clue what the problem might be since it used to work just fine.

    Best regards
    Ann

  • Hi,

Seems we already suggested you regarding the footer menu. Some conflict issues here, please disable all the plugins and check the issue is still there, if not? enable the plugin one by one and check the conflict issue.

Please do a test on your staging site, activate a default theme like twenty twelve and check if it still there or not.

I tried deactivating all plugins and the only plugin that it helped with removing the issue totally, was Ocean extra. But then at the other hand, the whole menu disappeared ?? So that was not a good solution.

The other plugin that helped with the mobile issue was Ocean social sharing. When I deactivated it the mobile menu on mobile worked fine and was again clickable as it used to be :-). But on the hand, other things did not look so good in my sidebar.

Desktop issue with the menu in the footer was still there with all plugins deactivated or not.

I am pretty sure this has to do with the theme. I have no staging site.

Please advice! And please fix what could have gone wrong with your social sharing plugin so that my menu can be clickable on mobiles again!

    Best regards
    Ann

    Hi,

If the menu has disappeared on Ocean Extra deactivation, it means it was a custom menu. Ocean Extra supports locations for custom templates, including menus.
The fact that you are seeing “the menu” below footer, means that one or more necessary scripts have been deactivated. Please go to Theme Panel > Scripts & Styles and reset scripts, by disabling all, then enabling back again and save settings.
The mobile menu doesn’t function either because of the scripts or because you have 27 JS issues on your website, related to the caching plugin you are using:
    1. The resource https://www.ayoungerskin.com/wp-content/cache/swift-performance/www.ayoungerskin.com/js/desktop-scripts.js was preloaded using link preload but not used within a few seconds from the window’s load event. Please make sure it has an appropriate as value and it is preloaded intentionally.
    2. VM35:260 [Intervention] Unable to preventDefault inside passive event listener due to target being treated as passive. This error is related to the following code: scrollArray(overflowing,deltaX,deltaY);event.preventDefault();scheduleClearCache();}
I would suggest you reach out to respective plugin developer for support and guidance on this matter.
The issue is not related to the Ocean Sharing Plugin, otherwise your mobile menu would not function only on single blog post pages. However, you have a problem with the entire website.
If possible, please do not duplicate forum tickets. As you may already know, it is not always possible to provide support on the forum in a timely manner, as explained in the forum introduction, but we will get back to you: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/read-this-first-welcome-to-the-oceanwp-support-forum/
Hope this helps and hope you get the issue resolved soon
