• I moved a wordpress site from my server (godaddy) onto the server of a hosting service the client had used previously, and now the menu function – drop down menus in particular – won’t work. I go to Appearance>Menus and all of a sudden it won’t save the theme location for the main nav. I select the menu I’ve created and hit save, but it doesn’t save it… just reverts to no selection… any thoughts??? (thanks!)

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    – increasing the memory available to PHP:

Thanks so much, esmi!… I’ll try those.

Need to run out for the night but if anyone has any other suggestions, please send and I’ll tackle this tomorrow when my brain is fresh. It was all working fine until I moved it to the new server. (@#$!&%!)
