• Hi … Something is broken in the ‘Save Menu’ function. I can’t switch the order of the menu items. ie if I interchange ‘About the Lions’ and ‘Garlic Festival’, and then ‘Save Menu’ I get a page not found message and the menu is not updated. I’ve been trying everything I can think of for hours to no avail (disabling plugins, reinstalling wordpress, rebuilding the menu structure) … any suggestions?

    Thank you.

    – For pro or commercial product support please contact the author directly on their site. They cannot support their customers here.

    – As the author is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums. As you are their customer I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there. Also, forum volunteers are not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme (weaver-ii-pro) is not working properly.

thank you for your reply … I understand that yo cannot support other products, however I had contacted the theme provider already and they said it is 100% a WordPress issue!

Where do I go from here?

I just tried it using the 2015 theme … same issue … cannot modify the menu. although i did manage to reorder the menu items while in preview mode, but could not add additional items.

Here is what I did and the results:

    Deactivated all plugins

    re-installed WordPress 4.9.4 from dashboard > updates > re-install now … successful

using weaver theme: create a custom menu item (#,test), click ‘add to menu’, click ‘Save Menu” … page not found

switch to 2015 theme: create a custom menu item (#,test), click ‘add to menu’, click ‘Save Menu” … page not found

using weaver theme or 2015 theme: from the appearance > menu > manage with live preview created same custom menu item, published and added successfully! the test item is in the navigation menu as it should be.

since I get the same (bad) result with the weaver theme and the 2015 theme, doesn’t that suggest a wordpress issue?

note the menu changes seem to work when using the live preview mode.

I’m seeing the same issue. Any changes made to the Menu Structure (adding a new item, creating a new Menu, reordering the menus, etc) do not save. I click “Save Menu”, the page reloads, and the menu is reverted to its previous settings.

I’ve tried disabling all plugins, that didn’t change anything. I also tried logging out/back in.

Note that the Create Menu functionality also does not work, it reacts the same way.

Looking in the database I see that the data is being added to the wp_postmeta data table, but it doesn’t show up in the Admin interface nor on the frontend.
I don’t know enough about how WP stores/access the DB to do much more at this point though.

Any helpful tips on this? WordPress 4.9.5 – same issue – cannot add or manipulate menu in any way. I’ve deactivated all plugins and have logged out and logged back in. When I try and add a new page to the menu under Appearance –> Menus, the spinner just keeps on spinning. When I try the Live Preview, it “looks” like it has been added, but upon hitting the Publish button, I receive a message that says there is a problem – try again in a few minutes.

    Thanks for any help!

Hi … I wish I had an answer for you, but I don’t. I still have the same issue. Live preview does work for me though.

I had the same problem in two different sites. Also using weaver xtreme in both, and I tried all the things mentioned here before (deactivate, remove, reinstall plugins, create new menus, firewall, hosting, etc) but nothing worked. Finally I solved (not found the root problem, but certanly I think it’s theme related) deactivating, NOT REMOVING, my weaver theme, activate Twenty Seventeen theme, I create/modify my custom menu, and the changes were finally saved. The 403, 404 errors gone immediatly. Then, when the menu was in the way I wanted, I just activate Weaver again and change the primary menu to the one I need and Voila! Everything is working fine. By the way, once the menu was saved under Seventeen theme process and switching to Weaver, I was able to modify/add/create new items and menus under Weaver theme without any problem.

Hope this can be helpful for the people who is suffering the same issue (I found about a dozen similar questions trying to fix this)
