I would like to add the standard search widget to the menu bar. Is this possible?

Thanks for your help and for this great theme.

  • Hello @toddhay,
We would like to inform you that there is not any feature in Nisarg theme to add the search widget to the menu bar.But you can add the search widget in sidebar.
For adding the Search Widget , please go to your Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Sidebar and then add a search widget.

    Hope this helps,

    Best Regards !!

    Hi @rojina-
Thanks for your note. Yes, I’m aware of the standard search widget available for the sidebar, I was just hoping that one could add it into the menu bar without much customization.

    Thanks.

Todd – are you looking to have (Basically) the little magnifying glass that, once clicked, turns into a search box, like the one in the wordpress theme “KALE”?

    Hi @mrkenray-
That would work, although my preference was to have a textfield shown followed by the magnifying glass. Do you know how to implement this Kale feature in Nisarg?

    Thanks for your help.

Todd, no I am not that skilled, I just knew I had seen something similar…perhaps one of the really smart folks will take a look at Kale and translate the code over to Nisarg ( I also would be happy for the option).

Gotcha, if I find something or figure it out myself, I’ll be sure to post something back here that hopefully would help you as well.
