Menu – sidebar links to child pages
-
I’m building a website so pages rather than a blog, and need to make navigation easy. I can’t find a theme that does what I need so maybe there’s a plugin.
I’d like to have a Top Navigation bar under the header that links to the top-level pages.
Then each page should have a menu in the sidebar that links to the child pages. (And on child pages, the sidebar links to grandchild etc)
Is there a plug in that will do this easily for me? There seem to be so many menu plugins. I tried a few but didn’t understand how to make them work. It would be best if the plugin knows how to find the links for itself, rather than me having to add each page to the relevant menus manually.
I think I’ll have so many pages, the built-in “Pages” widget will produce too long a list, needing people to scroll down.
And can you recommend a breadcrumb trail plugin too?
I think with menu bars set up like this, and breadcrumb trail, it should be straightforward to navigate without getting complicated with drop-down menus.
Thanks.
