I want the main default theme menu items to be not clickable.. [The submenu items will be clickable].

How do I do this without creating a new custom menu?
Here is the link I am using Liferoots

You don’t need to create a new custom menu, but you will need to make changes to the exiting one:

    1. Go to Appearance → Menus.
    2. Look for a section on the left labeled Links. If you do not see such a section, click the Screen Options tab in the upper right corner of the screen, then check the box labeled Links and it should then show up.
    3. Expand the Links section. For URL, enter # (a pound sign, also known as a hashtag). For Link Text, enter NUTRACEUTICALS. Click the Add to Menu button.
    4. You should now see the new menu item on the right side, at the bottom of the Menu Structure section. Drag it up until it is just above the existing NUTRACEUTICALS menu item.
    5. Drag the HAIR SKIN & NAIL submenu item from under the existing NUTRACEUTICALS menu item to the new NUTRACEUTICALS menu item.
    6. Delete the old NUTRACEUTICALS menu item by expanding that item and clicking the Remove link.
    7. Repeat the process for the COSMECEUTICALS menu item.
    8. Click the Save Menu button.
Now nothing should happen if your users click on those two main menu items.
