• Hi guys, we’re having a menu issue with our website and were wondering if anyone could help.

    Here’s the link (please don’t re-post the actual URL) – https://tinyurl.com/a34twp6 – we are using WP v3.3.1.

You will notice that if you hover over the ‘Collection’ menu item, it displays the 2nd and 3rd level menu items as well when it shouldn’t.

It was working properly before where, and we haven’t changed anything, then one day it looked like this…

Any ideas as to how to fix it will be much appreciated!

    Thank you.

I am so sorry. My apologies.

No no, it’s all good. Take a break, you’ve earned it. The name thing happens all the time and it’s not a big deal at all. ??

Hey guys, thanks for the replies, but I think this has gone off-topic a bit…

We are no longer on good terms with the original designers for reasons we’d prefer not too mention, so we will not be asking them to fix this issue.

The theme is called “theme1211 3” by TemplateHelp[dot]com – after doing a Google search, we were able to find the theme (now called Template 33392) and view the original demo where the menu works perfectly.

    See demo here: https://tinyurl.com/3syknyu

Does this not seem like a CSS issue? If so, is anyone able to take a look at our websites CSS and see why it’s not working correctly..?

Any/all help is appreciated. We’d really love to have this fixed.

If you cannot manage this yourself, perhaps you need to consider hiring someone to carry out the work for you.

Hey esmi, I don’t mean to sound rude, but the reason I asked on this forum was because I cannot manage it myself and was hoping to get a little guidance…

I haven’t received any tips as to what may be the problem as of yet, and we were hoping not too have to pay unless it is a last resort as we have spent quite a bit of $$ thus far.

Again, I don’t mean to be rude, but 80% of the replies on this thread were irrelevant to our issue and I was hoping someone may be able to help & provide a little guidance.

I checked out the CSS stylesheet and Superfish menu Javascript file then compared it to the original templates files and determined that it wasn’t a CSS or Superfish issue – so any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Perhaps a conflict in plugins?

When JavaScript menus fail, they usually provide some-sort of backup which isn’t particularly pretty but does the job of outputting data.

    Your webpage shows these errors;

Uncaught TypeError: Object function (j,s){return new b.fn.init(j,s)} has no method ‘isNumeric’ lib.js:174
    GET https://www.designerserpents.com.au/wp-content/flashxml/image-scroller-fx/assets/skins/arrow1.png 404 (Not Found) /wp-content/flashxml/image-scroller-fx/assets/skins/arrow1.png:1

Other than the image error, that JavaScript error could be the reason as to why your drop-down menu isn’t working.

Try disabling plugins to find whether any are responsible.

Specific CSS issues like these are not within the scope of WordPress support, which may explain why you interpreted forum volunteers giving terse responses.

Hi Herpsta — This is definitely a CSS issue, possibly with some jQuery thrown in as well. You’re definitely going to need a professional to help you out as this is not something that requires a small bit of HTML editing or beginner’s level code. It unfortunately requires some what advanced (at a minimum: upper intermediate) debugging skills that I don’t think you’ll be able to find for free on the forums here, but I could be wrong.

    Thanks,
    Lara
