When I log into the website’s wordpress to try and edit the site I only have:

    • Dashboard
    • Jetpack
    • Profile
    • Appointment and hour booking
    • WP security
    • and collapse menu

as options. I did not create and set up this website, Ive taken it over for the company. I read through some other forms and things about changing settings under profile but I do not have those options. The only box option that I have that would change anything is: tool bar (Show Toolbar when viewing site) which is clicked.

There werent any WordPress accounts that seemed to be tied to any of the websites made either. As I had to create this one when I tried using forgot password to see if there were any. I dont know if that effects some of the issues I am having? or how I go about fixing it. So far I am only having this menu issue, and lack of access with one of the websites. I dont know how I am supposed to change what accesses I should have either, as the recorded admin isnt set up or correct either.

If you were an administrator, you should also see the menu items Plugins and Appearance in the backend. Can’t you see them? Then you would have to contact the person who is set up as the administrator for the website. They would have to make you an administrator.

I’m also a little confused by the fact that you’re talking about websites. If WordPress is not set up as a multisite, you actually only have one website. Perhaps you are confusing individual pages of a website with a website? A website consists of a large number of pages in which the content is stored.

How do I find the administrator.

All I can see for the menu is what I listed above. dashboard, jetpack, profile, appointment and hour booking, wpsecurity, and collapse menu.

I did not set any of this stuff up. Someone before me created everything and didnt properly record anything.
What I mean is that there is no log in’s for a wordpress account associated with any of the websites that have been created. There is only a log in when I go in to change things on the websites. I had to create this account in order to post in the forms to try and get some help.

Based on your description, I’m not even sure if you’re in the right forum? What is the domain of the website you are interested in? Then we might be able to help you.

” I had to create this account in order to post in the forms to try and get some help.” Your account HERE on www.ads-software.com has nothing to do with your account on your own website. They are completely separate.

    Just FYI,
