• I would like to make a special page with some pictures in the nice gallery shape of gridsby on a special page, but I don’t want them to show up in my home section.
When I turn on the ‘hide gallery section’ in home section, the menu stops working on the homepage.
Is there a way to fix this?
i did see somebody mentioning it before, but no solution yet….
Thank you in advance for your help!

Is there no solution? The latest update did not solve the problem!
Hope to hear from you specialists!

    YStevens,

I think your best option would be to create categories for your gallery images. You can either display them in the menu or set one as your home page.

The menu should still work regardless.

Is adding a category the way to do that?

    YStevens,

If you navigate to appearance > menus, you should be able to add a gallery “category” to your menu. You can then view them and view the actual permalink in the URL bar.

These are basically archives of your gallery categories, which will look similar to the home page gallery.

The main home page gallery will always query all of your gallery photos from every category, but if you don’t wish to display them all on your homepage, you don’t necessarily have to use the “home page” template as your front page.

    Thank you for your suggestion…
Unfortunately, I like the home template to start with, because of the way the blog posts show on there…. I like that lay out very much ??
I hope a future update will solve the ‘not working menu’ when the gallery is set to off on the home page!
Thanks so far and kind regards!
