• Menus are showing up in the public view of pages, but menus are NOT listing in Appearance > Menus in admin ?!?

If I try to add a new menu (“Main Menu”) the system tells me that the menu already exists, but it is not listed. When I try to add a new menu with another name, it accepts, but it still does not list the new menu or any other menu.

I have menus, but am not able to list or edit them. Never seen this before in my years of WordPress.

I’m using The7 theme, and have several other websites with the same theme, but never seen this issue before.

I am using MemberPress, so maybe that has something to do with it?

    Anyone have any insights?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
