• Hello,
I’m creating new menus for that top menu bar. Looks fine in the dashboard (except I can’t reorder them – drag&drop not working).

Main problem is that even though I click every “Save Menu” on my screen, it will not show up at my actual website. Instead, some old menus I tried out as examples show up and never leave, like guests overstaying their welcome.

    Website: https://www.cathrynestein.com
    Browser: Firefox
    Using: WordPress 3.5.1
Theme: Twenty Ten version 1.5 Child (no modifications)

I’m following the Codex very carefully. Where did I go wrong?
Thanks in advance you wonderful wizards of WordPress.
    HC

I dragged the page Matilda Rescues under the “My Books” item and saved it. Now when I click on My Books I see that Matilda Rescues is a subitem, but it takes me to a Not Found page.

So I must create a static landing page for each menu item I have up there?

I meant just clicking on My Books goes to the Not Found Page. The subitem works fine.

Yep, that’s normal – you’d need to create a page for “My Books” or it’s not going to find a page called that :).

Der! I’m going to experiment some more and try to learn the rest on my own. (But I’m sure I’ll be back with more questions.)

You have been a wonderful teacher. I can’t thank you enough.

You’re welcome – you did great too! And BTW, I’m a total cat person (have two Maine Coon cats) so your user name didn’t hurt either – LOL!

    Mine’s a Maine Coon too!
(They talk a lot, don’t they.)
